The GSM radio module CSI-F-10 is a universally usable electronic unit for communicating data and digital signals via the GSM mobile phone network. As a segment of the HYDAC Condition Monitoring concept the CSI-F-10 links the sensor level with the interpretation level, among other things. The device can be used not only in Stand-Alone mode but also as a GSM modem on a CMU 1000 (HYDAC Condition Monitoring Unit). Up to two HYDAC SMART sensors can be connected to its input sockets, e.g. HYDACLab®, AS 1000 or CS 1000. In addition, it is possible to monitor various other system conditions through the four integrated digit inputs and to transmit them in binary fashion with the aid of the two integrated digital outputs. The device can also intervene directly in the machine/system being monitored through these digital outputs. The CSI-F-10 processes and monitors the input signals on the basis of the application programs which have been stored in it. Determination is made in detail in this programme as to which data will be monitored and when which message is to be dispatched. This application programme can be (on the basis of the IEC 61131) generated simply and conveniently with the CM Editor, which is part of the HYDAC PC software CMWIN starting with Version V03 included in the scope of delivery. Independent of the application, the user can select individually between two operating modes of the CSI-F-10 and thus determine the type and content of the communication.
