The HYDAC flow switches of the HFS 250 series are based on a position-independent variable area measuring principle in an angled seat design.
The measuring medium deflects a spring-loaded float in the direction of flow depending on the volume flow. A reed contact is mounted outside the device and thus outside the flow circuit.
When the magnet integrated in the float reaches the set position, the reed contact switches and is encapsulated in a continuously adjustable housing.
Thanks to the special angled seat design, the magnet is not in the direct volume flow. This makes the device particularly suitable for machine tool construction, e. g. for simple monitoring of cooling lubricants.
