HYDACLab® Oil condition sensor
a multi-sensor for real-time monitoring of the condition of the oil. Ageing of the oil can be detected by measuring temperature, moisture and dielectric constant. Ageing can lead, amongst other things, to considerably-reduced filter service life, but also to blocking of nozzles and lubrication channels with the resultant catastrophic system damage.
CS1000 - Contamination Sensor
Particle contamination is the main cause of breakdowns in hydraulic and lubrication oil systems.
Continuous real-time particle counting therefore plays a vital role in condition-based maintenance.
With Hydac real-time measurement systems, the number and size of particles is determined with the aid of optical detectors.
The brand new Contamination Sensor CS 1000 is a cost-effective online particle sensor which is suitable for permanent installation in almost all lubrication oil and hydraulic systems.
VL 2 GW: DirtController
The development of clogging indicators has not stood still either. Whereas mainly simple visual or electro-mechanical pressure switches have been used up to now, today the level of contamination in a filter can be measured continuously using electronic indicators. The latest HYDAC product in this area is the DirtController GW.
This sensor measures and processes 2 signals. The system or inlet pressure, as well as the differential pressure across the filter, are measured via electronic pressure sensors built into the housing.
AS1000 AquaSensor
In practice, water is certainly the biggest enemy of lubrication fluids. Additive decomposition, cavitation and corrosion affect both the system components and also the operating fluid.
Water occurs in three forms in hydraulic and lubrication oils:
Moisture sensors determine the presence of dissolved water. They are based on a capacitive measuring element with a moisture sensitive coating.
A further development of the AquaSensor AS 2000 introduced 3 years ago is the new AS 1000.
By reducing the range of functions, miniaturizing it to the size of a pressure sensor and by thus optimizing the costs, the AS 1000 has become very attractive for use in OEM
applications, for example in mobile hydraulics and in machine tools.
The newly developed AquaSensor 8000 is mainly fitted in the return lines of existing systems to measure free water.
